POSITION SUMMARY

As such, each staff member is a part of the ministry by teaching the Bible, praying for and with others, and carrying out the vision of Awaken Las Vegas, This is an on-call, as-needed position, substituting in the absence of a regular Awaken Christian Academy Teacher. The Substitute Teacher is an important resource as an instructor and caregiver to the students during the day. The Substitute Teacher would establish and enforce rules for behavior and procedures while maintaining order among the students for whom they are responsible. The Substitute Teacher is committed to Jesus Christ with strong integrity, dedication, and passion. This position requires someone who is passionate about Jesus and representing Him to others with a warm smile and a servants' heart. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Follow lesson plans that have been developed by the Teacher. Utilize prepared materials for class activities. Submit attendance and any behavior reports as needed. Enforce rules for behavior and procedures. Maintain order in the classroom. Communicate any questions or concerns to the school principal or administration. Enforce administration policies and rules governing students. Additional duties as assigned.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Experience Teaching experience is preferred but not required. Minimum experience working with children in a structured setting is expected. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities (KSAs) Must be dependable, hardworking, innovative, detail oriented, and capable of working independently. Must have excellent people skills, optimistic, and see the best in others.
