WORK SCHEDULE
Ten-Month School Year Position Summary The Cheektowaga Central School District is seeking a dependable and qualified Building-Based Substitute Teacher for Cheektowaga Central High School. The successful candidate will report to the High School each scheduled school day and provide instructional coverage as assigned. Duties and Responsibilities Reports to Cheektowaga Central High School each scheduled school day. Provides classroom coverage for absent teachers as assigned by the building administration. Implements lesson plans and instructional activities provided by the classroom teacher. Maintains a safe, structured, and respectful learning environment. Supervises students in classrooms, hallways, cafeterias, or other assigned areas. Follows all District policies, procedures, and building expectations. Performs other related duties as assigned by the building administration. Qualifications Previous experience working with high school students preferred. Strong classroom-management, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work effectively with students, staff, and administrators. Terms of Employment The Building-Based Substitute Teacher is expected to report daily in accordance with the District's school calendar. This position does not include health, dental, or other employee benefits. The employee will receive one paid sick day for each completed month of service, subject to applicable District policies and regulations.
