Job Summary:

We are seeking an After-School Assistant to join our team and provide a fun and safe environment for children attending our after-school program. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and excited to share some fun times with children 3-5 years old. The job is from 2:00pm to 6:00pm each day. It includes prep time to get ready for the kids, outdoor play time, crafts, independent play and songs. There is also a chance for substitute day work when teachers call out. Great opportunity for college students!

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and engage students in various activities alongside fellow assistant
• Foster a positive and engaging environment
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all students
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and fellow staff members
• Encourage active participation in group games, arts and crafts, and other activities

Experience:

• Experience working with children or students
• Ability to manage classroom or group settings effectively

Requirements:

• Must be legally allowed to work with children in NY state
• CPR and First Aid certified
• We can support you in this after hire
• Comprehensive background check prior to beginning to work
• Fingerprinted by the Department of Education
• Able to complete Dept.

of Health online courses, about 45 min each, in topics like: obesity, foundations in child care, parent engagement, etc. It is really fun job if you like working with small children.
