Job Description
Substitute Teacher West Valley Central School is seeking dependable and enthusiastic substitute teachers to support students in grades UPK-12. Responsibilities
Follow classroom lesson plans and teacher instructions
Maintain a safe, respectful, and productive learning environment
Supervise students throughout the school day
Follow district policies and procedures
Communicate relevant information to the classroom teacher and administration
Job Qualifications
Qualifications
New York State teacher certification preferred, but not required
Strong communication and classroom-management skills
Ability to work effectively with students of varying ages
New York State Education Department fingerprint clearance is required
Application Procedure
Daily Rate
Certified teachers: $140 per day
Non-certified substitutes: $125 per day
After 10 consecutive weeks in the same assignment:
Certified teachers: $167 per day
