You'll deliver teacher-prepared lesson plans across various grades and subjects, maintain a positive classroom environment, and ensure learning continues when regular teachers are absent. Responsibilities Implement lesson plans provided by the regular classroom teacher, ensuring smooth instructional continuity. Manage classroom behavior effectively to foster a respectful and productive learning atmosphere. Utilize educational technologies and computers to enhance lesson delivery and student engagement. Communicate regularly with school staff, including teachers, administrators, and support personnel. Follow school policies and mandated reporting laws to ensure compliance with safety and confidentiality standards. Support students' social-emotional development through positive interactions and behavior management techniques. Qualifications Prior classroom experience in early childhood education, elementary, or secondary settings is highly preferred. Demonstrated skills in curriculum development, lesson planning, and curriculum implementation across multiple subjects such as literacy, math, or special education. Strong communication skills for effective parent-teacher interactions and collaboration with colleagues. Candidates must be able to successfully pass a criminal background check.
