Overview We are seeking energetic and dedicated On-Call Substitute Teachers to join our dynamic educational team. In this role, you will step into classrooms across various grade levels and subject areas, delivering engaging lessons and maintaining a positive learning environment. This position offers flexible scheduling and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' educational journeys by providing consistent support when full-time teachers are unavailable. Duties Deliver prepared lesson plans or adapt existing lessons to meet classroom needs, ensuring continuity of instruction. Manage classroom behavior effectively to foster a respectful and productive learning environment. Implement curriculum development strategies aligned with school standards and student needs. Utilize instructional technologies and computers to enhance lesson delivery and student engagement. Communicate regularly with students, staff, and parents regarding student progress and classroom activities. Support classroom management by maintaining discipline and encouraging positive social interactions among students. Collaborate with full-time teachers and staff to ensure smooth classroom operations and share best practices. Requirements Prior experience working with children in educational settings, including preschool, elementary, or secondary levels. Knowledge of curriculum implementation, lesson planning, behavior management, and classroom management techniques. Familiarity with early childhood education principles, special education needs (including working with students with autism), literacy education, math instruction, and Montessori or preschool methodologies is preferred. Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt instructional methods for diverse cultural backgrounds and individual student needs. Experience using educational technologies such as computers for instructional purposes. Understanding of mandated reporting laws, school policies, and confidentiality requirements. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with teachers and staff. Flexibility to respond quickly to changing classroom needs in an on-call capacity.
