Job Description

Helps students learn subject matter and/or skills that will contribute to their development; duties would include working with small groups and co-teaching, diagnostic testing and progress monitoring;
  • Assisting teacher and students in their daily educational tasks;
  • Creates an environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the interests of students;
  • Counsels with colleagues on a regular basis;
  • Maintains order in a fair and just manner; with reasonable rules of classroom behavior and procedures.
  • Attends staff meetings and serves on staff committees as required;
  • Makes modifications and accommodations of the classroom environment;
  • Reports to and carries out any other responsibilities as assigned by the building principal this could be supervision of students outside the classroom and assisting other staff members complete their daily tasks.
