Sunday School Teacher

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Sunday School Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching and guiding children ages 5-9 in their spiritual growth and development. The Sunday School Teacher will be responsible for following lesson plans, leading activities, and fostering a positive and engaging learning environment.

Responsibilities:

Implement lesson plans that align with the curriculum and the needs of the students. Promote spiritual growth and development. Provide a safe and welcoming environment for all students. Communicate with youth ministries director, parents and guardians about their child's progress and any concerns. Attend and participate in staff meetings and training sessions.

Requirements:

Understand faith and commitment to Christian values. Experience working with children in a teaching or mentoring capacity. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of the students and the program.

Working Conditions:

The Sunday School Teacher will work on Sundays during the designated Sunday School hours. Additional hours may be required for special events and holidays. The work environment is typically indoors in a classroom setting.

Supervision:

Directly supervised by the Children's Ministries Director and is responsible to session through the Personnel Committee.

Physical Requirements:

The Sunday School Teacher must be able to stand, sit, and move around the classroom for extended periods of time. They may also need to lift and move classroom materials and equipment.
