Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and dedicated individual to join our team. Instructors work 2 nights a week (5:30pm to 9:15pm) and 3 Saturday's a year (9am to Noon or 1pm to 4pm). Onboard training will be required over several days (12 hours in total). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plumbing and a passion for teaching adult learners. This role involves providing instruction and hands-on training to students enrolled in our plumbing apprentice program, ensuring they gain the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in the plumbing industry. Duties and Responsibilities Program Curriculum:

Collaborate with the Adult Education Administrator in delivering of apprenticeship curriculum and educational materials. Develop class syllabus

Student Support:

Work with students to deliver curriculum

Communication and Outreach:

Support the Adult Education Administrator in communicating with external partners, including employers, industry associations, and regulatory bodies. Other duties as required Qualifications Oregon Licensed Journeyman Plumber Previous teaching or training experience is preferred. Effective communication and people skills. Ability to explain complex concepts in an easy-to-understand manner. Proficiency in using various plumbing tools and equipment. Knowledge of plumbing codes and regulations. Patience, adaptability, and a genuine interest in helping adult learners succeed. Terms of Employment Requires a flexible work schedule to meet program needs, which include evenings and/or weekends. All positions at Area II Plumbers JATC are required to be available for work onsite as requested. Recently hired faculty are expected to participate in a faculty orientation.
