For over 30 years, our curriculum has helped children with language-based learning disabilities to become successful and move forward to the next level. We create a meaningful learning and social environment for children where challenges are understood, strengths are celebrated, and individualized needs are addressed. The Long-Term Substitute Teacher (LTS) assumes the responsibilities of the first/second grade teacher in the subjects of reading, writing, social studies, and science. The LTS also guides students during homeroom time in the morning and afternoon. Other responsibilities include administering testing, completing report cards, conducting conferences, attending faculty meetings, and serving bi-weekly lunch/recess duty. Candidate should also possess a solid understanding of technology implementation into the curriculum.

Qualifications:

A valid Pennsylvania teaching certificate is required in early childhood, elementary education, or the candidate must possess a valid PA reading specialist K-12 certification.
