We are looking for dependable and enthusiastic Substitute Teacher to support our classrooms when regular teachers are unavailable. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with students, creating a positive classroom environment, and making a difference in the school community.
Responsibilities:
Follow lesson plans and classroom instructions provided by the regular teacher. The Permanent Substitute may be required to cover a class each teaching block on some days. If no coverage is needed for any of the blocks, the Permanent Substitute will provide small group instruction and/or support. Provide a safe, positive, and supportive learning environment for students. Supervise and engage students throughout the school day. Maintain classroom routines and expectations. Assist students with classroom activities and assignments. Take attendance and communicate any important classroom or student concerns to school staff. Maintain a professional and respectful classroom environment. Support the school's policies, procedures, and overall mission.

Qualifications:
Previous experience working with children or students preferred. Strong communication and classroom management skills. Dependable, flexible, and comfortable adapting to different classroom environments. Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff. High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or teaching experience preferred. Must meet any state or school-specific requirements for substitute teachers. Having a Math interventionist focus RAPCS is a public middle charter school in its 25th year of operation. Candidates must possess a minimum of fours years of college. We prefer prior education experience, preferably in an urban setting. Ideal candidates will be able to contribute their time and talents for student instruction and additional after-school programs and projects. The mission of the RAPCS is to create a safe and healthy learning environment for middle school youth to develop into responsible participants in their education and our diverse society. We will provide rigorous instruction to prepare children for higher learning, the workplace, and life. RAPCS will engage our students to think globally and act locally!
