Job Description
Summary We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable individual to fill the role of Day to Day Substitute Teacher across our district. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a positive learning environment and ensuring that students continue to receive quality instruction in the absence of their regular teacher. This position requires flexibility, excellent communication skills, and a passion for education. Responsibilities Implement lesson plans provided by the regular teacher, ensuring that students remain engaged and on task. Manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive, respectful, and safe learning environment. Communicate effectively with students, staff, and administration regarding classroom activities and student needs. Assist students with their learning and address any questions or concerns they may have. Supervise students during lunch, recess, and other non-instructional times as needed. Follow school policies and procedures, including emergency protocols and student confidentiality guidelines. Provide feedback to the regular teacher regarding student performance and classroom dynamics. Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the varying needs of students. Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities when available. Requirements Bachelor's degree in education or a related field preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Valid state teaching certification or substitute teaching permit. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage a classroom effectively and maintain student engagement. Flexibility and adaptability to work in various grade levels and subject areas. Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
