Expectations of a BVP Team Member include (but are not limited to): If required for your role, you must provide evidence of proficiency or awareness in the knowledge and practices of the Science of Reading and Structured Literacy through the completion of a RIDE approved program or Rhode Island educator preparation program. In addition, Permanent Building Substitute Teachers are expected to: Rotate into various teaching and support positions within the network of schools on a daily basis. Execute academically rigorous lessons plans and administrator directives with fidelity and efficiency Implement classroom management practices that are consistent with the culture of the school Give and receive constructive feedback from teachers and administration in order to create a professional working atmosphere that is conducive to change and improvement Qualifications & Educational Background Bachelor's degree required, Bilingual candidates preferred but not required, Rhode Island teaching certificate preferred but not required (Rhode Island offers reciprocity with over 30 states across the country.)
