Established in 1983, Concord serves students with a variety of learning, behavioral, and developmental needs. Our mission is to provide a supportive, individualized learning environment that fosters academic achievement, emotional growth, and social development. We are committed to helping students build the skills and confidence necessary to succeed both in and out of the classroom. The Substitute Teacher steps in when the regular Teacher is absent. They are primarily responsible for following the lesson plans already created by the Teacher, to support the learning outcomes for the class. In addition to instruction, the Substitute Teacher monitors and reports on student behavior and maintains a positive learning environment where all students are encouraged to participate, ask questions and generally receive the individual attention they need to effectively learn the material in the lesson plan. Occasional and long-term assignments may be available. This contracted, part-time position reports to the Principal.
