KinderCare is seeking an Afterschool Substitute Teacher to support Uplift Gradus Preparatory's afterschool program. In this flexible, on-site role, you'll step in when regular staff are absent, supervising school-age children, leading engaging activities, and providing homework support. You'll maintain a safe, inclusive environment, follow health and safety procedures, and collaborate with staff to uphold KinderCare's nurturing culture focused on growth, diversity, and enriching early learning experiences. Responsibilities Supervise and engage school-age children in a safe, supportive afterschool environment. Implement planned lessons, activities, and homework support when regular staff are absent. Maintain positive classroom management and encourage social-emotional development. Ensure constant supervision, safety checks, and adherence to center policies and licensing standards. Communicate effectively with site leaders, teachers, and families as needed. Prepare, organize, and reset classrooms and activity spaces before and after programs. Follow health, safety, and emergency procedures, including reporting incidents. Support inclusion and positive interactions among children of diverse backgrounds. Accurately track attendance and follow sign-in/out procedures. Collaborate with team members to uphold Kinder Care's educational and cultural standards.
