Teachers Now is hiring dependable and enthusiastic Long-Term and Short-Term Substitute Teachers to support local schools in Carrollton, Frisco, and Plano, TX . Whether you're an experienced educator, a retired teacher, a military veteran, or someone exploring a career in education, we'd love to have you on our team.
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM-4:30 PM (school hours may vary by campus) Why You'll Love Working with Teachers Now Competitive pay: $90-$120 per day Choose from long-term and short-term assignments Consistent weekday schedule—enjoy nights, weekends, and holidays off Opportunities to work in a variety of local school districts Gain valuable classroom experience while making a positive impact on students Ongoing support from our dedicated staffing team throughout your assignment Military members, veterans, retired educators, and career changers are encouraged to apply What You'll Do As a Substitute Teacher, you'll help ensure students continue learning in a safe, structured, and engaging classroom while their regular teacher is away.
Responsibilities include:
Deliver instruction using teacher-provided lesson plans Create a positive, respectful, and well-managed classroom environment Manage classroom behavior and encourage student participation Supervise students throughout the school day Take attendance and maintain accurate classroom records Communicate with school administrators and staff as needed Follow district policies, campus procedures, and school expectations What We're Looking For Meet the substitute teacher eligibility requirements of the assigned school district, including a minimum of 60 college credit hours Previous experience working with children, tutoring, coaching, or in an educational setting is preferred but not required Strong communication, classroom management, and organizational skills Ability to adapt quickly to different grade levels, subjects, and classroom environments Professional, dependable, punctual, and positive Ability to follow lesson plans, school policies, and district procedures Successfully complete all required background checks and district onboarding requirements Reliable transportation to and from assigned school campuses Ability to stand, walk, and actively supervise students throughout the school day A genuine passion for supporting students and contributing to a positive learning environment
