We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Substitute Teacher to join our team at Legacy Preparatory - Mesquite West Campus. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and a commitment to student development.
Responsibilities:
Assume duties of the regular classroom teacher promptly and in accordance with school rules. May be required to facilitate learning in various subjects. Implement effective classroom management models. Ensure the safety and positive learning environment of the students. Follow regular teacher's lesson plans in a way that ensures consistency and optimal learning. Assign and explain homework. Oversee students outside of the classroom including in the hallways and cafeteria. Comply with all procedures, guidelines, and policies of the school at all times. Maintain a professional attitude in all manner of conduct with students, parents, staff, and community members. Report to school office at beginning of school day to pick up required materials/schedule of classes and at the end of the school day to return materials.
Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Ability to build relationships with students, staff, and parents. Ability to manage classroom effectively. Detail-oriented and able to follow up on tasks. Capable of adapting to different situations and changing plans. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualification:
Minimum of a high school diploma and pass all background checks.
Pay:
From $80.00 per day
