This part-time, contract opportunity is ideal for those passionate about working with children and skilled in American Sign Language. Youll collaborate with educators and make a positive impact on 1st through 3rd grade students, helping bridge communication and foster personal and academic growth. The schedule offers flexibilitywork afternoons, Monday through Friday, with early release every Friday, totaling 15 hours per week. This assignment runs from the start date as soon as possible through the end of the school year.

Key Qualifications:

Fluency in American Sign Language (required) Experience as a paraprofessional, teacher assistant, or in a classroom setting (preferred) Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to engage and assist students with diverse learning needs Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism

What Youll Do:

Support student learning in a 1st-3rd grade classroom using ASL Facilitate communication between students, teachers, and peers Provide instructional assistance under the guidance of the classroom teacher Encourage student participation and self-confidence in daily activities Assist with classroom management and organization Enjoy the perks of a consistent part-time schedule (afternoons only), with pay ranging from $20 to $27 per hour, based on your experience and expertise in ASL.
