12 months-5 years Qualifications ECE experience required. Previous hands-on experience working with young children, particularly ages 12 months-5 years, through one or more of the following: Preschool or early childhood education Daycare/childcare Nannying In-home childcare Home-based preschool Other hands-on early childhood experience Preschool or formal early childhood education experience preferred. Ability to confidently supervise and engage young children. Dependable, punctual, flexible, and comfortable working as part of a teaching team. Patient, warm, energetic, and nurturing. Able to adapt quickly to different classroom routines, age groups, and teaching styles. Able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds and actively participate in indoor and outdoor play. CPR/First Aid and Food Handler certification required or willingness to obtain as required. Successful completion of required background check and preschool training. Responsibilities Provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children. Follow the Lead Teacher's lesson plans, classroom schedule, and established routines. Actively supervise children during classroom activities, transitions, snack, and outdoor play. Engage children in play, stories, music, art, sensory activities, and other developmentally appropriate experiences. Use positive guidance and redirection to support children's social-emotional development. Assist with toileting, diapering, handwashing, snack, feeding, and other age-appropriate care routines. Participate actively in outdoor learning and play. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom. Communicate professionally with teachers, families, and the Preschool Director. Follow all St. Luke's Preschool health, safety, confidentiality, and emergency procedures. Support the classroom team and step into different classrooms with flexibility and a positive attitude.
