Milwaukee Area | 2026-2027 School Year | Long Term Substitute Needed- 12 week assignment

IMPORTANT

This position requires a regular Wisconsin teaching license or a Math specific license for grades 1-8. A Substitute Teaching License does NOT qualify. We are seeking Wisconsin-licensed teacher to provide small-group Title I Math intervention to students from October 1st (possibly sooner) for 12 weeks. This is an excellent opportunity for licensed educators who want to provide meaningful academic support while maintaining a flexible substitute schedule.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide small-group Math intervention to grades 1-8 Follow curriculum with fidelity with scaffolding and differentiate for student needs Provide clear, engaging, and age-appropriate instruction Differentiate instruction to meet individual student needs Support students who need additional academic assistance Maintain student engagement and encourage a positive attitude toward learning Monitor student participation and understanding Record student attendance Maintain a safe, respectful, and supportive learning environment Follow school policies, procedures, and professional standards Communicate and collaborate professionally with school staff Use instructional technology and online platforms as required

LONG-TERM SUBSTITUTE ASSIGNMENTS

Teachers who accept a Long-Term Substitute Intervention Teacher assignment may have additional responsibilities, including: Administering and reviewing Renaissance STAR assessments Using student data to guide instruction Monitoring and documenting student academic progress Using online systems for progress monitoring Creating intervention lesson plans using provided curriculum Differentiating instruction based on student data Providing appropriate scaffolding and additional support Communicating with school staff and families regarding student progress Participating in parent-teacher conferences and family engagement activities

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Valid Wisconsin Provisional or Lifetime Regular Education Teaching License in regular education grades 1-8 or in Math grades 1-8 Substitute Teaching License alone does NOT qualify Strong classroom management and instructional skills Ability to provide small-group instruction Ability to differentiate instruction for diverse learners Strong communication and interpersonal skills Professional and dependable Comfortable using computers, laptops, and classroom technology Comfortable using Google Workspace/Google Suite, GoGuardian, and other online platforms Ability to follow provided curriculum and lesson plans Commitment to student achievement and academic growth Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and school staff

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The teacher must be able to: Sit, stand, and move throughout the school day Move between classrooms and learning spaces Climb stairs when necessary Occasionally lift or carry instructional materials weighing up to 20 pounds

From $35.00 per hour
