Provide support and guidance in diverse communities in urban and rural districts. Guide student research through internship capstone projects. A potential candidate's consideration will be enhanced by providing evidence of experience in working with diverse schools and a track record of equity-minded leadership, university teaching, and field supervision; experience with current K-12 school reforms and technology relevant to school administration; knowledge of the regulations of local, state and national trends.

• At least three years of teaching experience in K-12 special education.
• Demonstrate knowledge of the latest trends/research in teaching students on general curriculum (i.

Associate Professor:

• Earned doctorate in Special Educational or a closely related field.
• University teaching experience.
• Demonstrated leadership skills in professional or academic areas.
• Three years of teaching experience in K-12 special education.
• Three years experience supporting and serving children and youth with disabilities.
• Experience forming collaborative partnerships with community programs, schools, relevant state departments, professional organizations, families, and/or other serving children with disabilities and their families.

Position Details:

This position is located on the University of Alaska Anchorage campus in Anchorage, Alaska. Applicants must be able to relocate to Anchorage, Alaska by the position start date. This is a full-time, 9-month, tenure track, faculty position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package .
