Director of Transportation Job Goals:
  • To assist in providing safe transportation of students to and from school
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must meet background clearance requirements as specified by Alabama statutes and state Board of Education regulations
  • Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable
Performance Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
  • Assists young or disabled students or
  • Assists in maintaining discipline on the school bus
  • Assists in maintaining safety of students
  • Helps ensure compliance with all safety precautions
  • Performs related work as required
  • Files necessary paperwork and assists in maintaining files
  • Follows all school board policies
  • Other duties as may be assigned by transportation supervisor
Evaluation:
Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Boaz City Board of Education.
