Director of Transportation Job Goals:
- To assist in providing safe transportation of students to and from school
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must meet background clearance requirements as specified by Alabama statutes and state Board of Education regulations
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable
Performance Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
- Assists young or disabled students or
- Assists in maintaining discipline on the school bus
- Assists in maintaining safety of students
- Helps ensure compliance with all safety precautions
- Performs related work as required
- Files necessary paperwork and assists in maintaining files
- Follows all school board policies
- Other duties as may be assigned by transportation supervisor
