Job Description

PARAPROFESSIONAL 182 DAYS - 8 HOURS PER DAY DUTIES
The duties include but are not limited to: Assists in carrying out daily lessons as organized and planned by the teacher. Rides the bus in the morning and afternoon with students. Assists the teacher with class procedures. Assists the teacher with testing and grading procedures. Works with the teacher in reinforcing class discipline rules. Discipline is to be handled by the teacher. Establishes and maintains standards of student behavior needed to provide an orderly, productive environment. Performs any other duties as designated by the principal and/or classroom teacher.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must have completed at least two years of study at an institution of higher education, which may be accomplished by documented successful completion of 48 semester hours at a regionally accredited institution of higher education; OR Must have obtained an Associate's degree, which may be accomplished by documented successful completion of 64 semester hours at a regionally accredited institution of higher education; OR Must have a score of 3 or higher on WorkKeys in Applied Math, Workplace Documents and Business Writing.
