In this role, you will support lead teachers in implementing Montessori-based curricula that promote independence, curiosity, and a love of learning among preschool and toddler-aged children. Your energy and positive attitude will contribute to creating a warm, engaging space where children feel safe, supported, and inspired to explore their potential. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in childhood development, classroom management, and individualized instruction within a Montessori framework. Responsibilities Assist lead teachers in preparing and organizing Montessori materials and classroom activities aligned with curriculum goals. Support children's learning by facilitating lessons in literacy education, math, and other foundational subjects using Montessori methods. Foster a nurturing environment that encourages independence, social skills, and positive behavior management. Engage with children during daily routines such as snack time, outdoor play, and rest periods to promote well-being and development. Observe individual children's progress and communicate insights to the lead teacher for tailored instruction. Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that adheres to health and safety standards for daycare and preschool settings. Collaborate with team members to develop curriculum plans that incorporate special education strategies and accommodate children with disabilities or autism. Qualifications Prior experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, or private school settings is highly preferred. Knowledge of early childhood education principles, childhood development stages, and behavior management techniques. Familiarity with Montessori educational methods and curriculum development is a plus. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or autism demonstrates adaptability and specialized understanding. Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate literacy education, math concepts, and Toddler care practices. Certification or coursework in special education or early childhood education is advantageous but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential.
