Helps teachers with recordkeeping, preparation for lessons and activities and supervising students. May work with special education students, or work in a school library or computer lab; may be called teacher aide or paraprofessional.

Job Description
Applicants must have the following: Must have a High School Diploma or Equivalent and completed 2 years of study at an institution of higher education or obtained an associate's degree or higher work keys assessment. Successful experience working with children with the ability to relate to and work with students and adults in a positive manner. Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills. Possess Basic English and Mathematical Skills. Ability to work harmoniously with others. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. and a valid background review conducted by the ABI and FBI pursuant to the Alabama Child Protection Act of 1999 and ACT No. 2002-457, be fingerprinted and pay a $48.15 fee. This is required by law meeting the suitability criteria for employment. No individual will be employed without a formal application on file and a personal interview
