QUALIFICATIONS
1. High school diploma or equivalent 2. Associate degree or higher preferred
JOB GOAL
Assists in the instructional program of assigned area
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Participates in daily and long-range planning for assigned area. 2. Prepares classroom materials and develops activities for assigned area. 3. Conducts activities with individuals and small groups in assigned area. 4. Assists in preparing class displays and bulletin boards for assigned area. 5. Assists in caring for and securing classroom equipment and supplies. 6. Assists in duties related to assigned area. 7. Assists with classroom management in assigned area. 8. Assists with clerical work, projects and programs, special events and field trips in assigned area. 9. Alerts the teacher to special needs of individual students in assigned area. 10. Maintains confidentiality with regard to students. 11. Performs other related duties as assigned

Salary Range:
According to Madison County Schools Salary Schedule. Actual salary will be determined by rank and experience. Current employees with questions regarding step placement on the salary schedule should contact the Personnel Department.
