ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

The purpose of being a Preschool Teacher's Assistant is to assist in the implementation of the UCP Preschool program.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Assist Preschool Teacher in class including, but not limited to: one-to-one and group activities assistance, positioning children correctly, develop visual aids, develop and activities in conjunction with Preschool Teacher, Assist in implementation of therapy objectives, assist in potty training and other bathroom needs, assist during snack time and lunch, prepare materials for art and fine motor activities, assist in loading and unloading of children, housekeeping of Preschool area, direct activities upon absence of Preschool Teacher • Children's Trust Fund Assistance - Assist Preschool Supervisor with Children's Trust Fund / Project Aware activities, including Family Involvement events • Safety - All UCP of Mobile employees must know and follow job safety procedures, attend required health and safety training, proactively promote safety at work, and promptly report actual and potential accidents and injuries
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Education:
  • High school diploma or appropriate GED certification
  • Must maintain a valid driver's license
  • Must maintain all DMH certification requirements including, but not limited to training, background check, fingerprinting, First Aid/CPR certification, etc.
Required Experience:
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in early childhood education management
SCHEDULE & COMPENSATION
    Schedule:

    Monday through Friday, on the Mobile County Public School System calendar

      Pay Range:

      $14.00 per hour

        $13.99 - $14.00 per hour Expected hours: 35.0 - 37.5 per week
