Job Description

Make a difference supporting student success as a dedicated school paraprofessional in a dynamic educational setting near Montgomery, AL! This contract opportunity runs through May 27, 2027, offering the chance to be an essential facilitator of virtual speech therapy sessions for elementary students. In this role, youll work closely with students and virtual speech-language pathologists, ensuring each child attends and actively participates in their speech therapy evaluations and sessions. Using innovative tools such as the VOCOVision system, you will help create a welcoming, supportive environment for every child. When therapy services are not scheduled, you may lend your skills assisting within the classroom, making every day varied and engaging.
Key Qualifications:
Associates degree (or higher), or passing WorkKeys test, or Sub certification required Prior experience in a school setting Ability to successfully pass a fingerprint/background check Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and multitasking abilities Technological proficiency and comfort facilitating virtual sessions Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive experience for young learners
Primary Responsibilities:
Facilitate and monitor virtual speech therapy sessions for elementary students Encourage and support student engagement during evaluations and activities Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and staff for smooth service delivery Supervise students attendance and behavior during sessions Assist in classrooms if therapy services are not in progress Maintain confidentiality and uphold school policies at all times Working 37.5 hours weekly on-site, youll play a vital part in shaping a positive educational experience for children who benefit from speech-language support.
