Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Step into a pivotal support position, helping to facilitate excellent online speech-language therapy services for students at a local elementary school. Working closely with virtual therapy providers, you'll ensure students attend and participate in their evaluations and sessions. This is a contract opportunity beginning immediately and extending through May 2027, offering steady hours in a dynamic educational setting.
Key Qualifications:
Associate's degree (or higher), OR a passing WorkKeys test score, OR Sub certification required Previous experience supporting students in a school environment Able to pass a comprehensive fingerprints/background check Effective communicator and proactive in supporting classroom needs Comfortable working onsite and actively assisting students using virtual therapy technology
Responsibilities:
Act as a facilitator for the online Speech-Language Pathology program, assisting students as they log in for virtual therapy sessions Help monitor, guide, and support students' participation in therapy, ensuring they are attentive and engaged Provide additional assistance in classrooms when virtual services are not actively being delivered Collaborate with teaching staff and speech therapists to promote a positive learning atmosphere Troubleshoot technology or distraction issues to ensure smooth operation of sessions This contract position offers 37.5 hours per week within a supportive elementary school, providing the chance to make a daily difference for children receiving critical speech services.
