Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Make a real impact supporting students by facilitating virtual speech therapy services in a dynamic elementary school environment. This contract Paraprofessional opportunity allows you to become a vital part of a collaborative team, helping students access virtual SLP evaluations and therapy while also contributing in classroom settings as needed.
Key Qualifications:
Either an Associate's degree (or higher), a passing score on the WorkKeys test, or a substitute certification is required Prior experience working in a school setting, supporting student learning and engagement Comfortable using technology and assisting students with virtual platforms Ability to assist in classrooms when speech services are not being conducted Must be able to pass background and fingerprint screening to ensure a safe educational environment
Primary Responsibilities:
Guide and supervise students as they participate in online speech therapy sessions using the VOCOVision system Help students transition to and from therapy sessions efficiently Support students' attentiveness and participation during evaluations and therapy Provide general classroom support at times when virtual SLP services are not taking place Work collaboratively with speech therapists, teachers, and administration to ensure children's needs are met This position offers a well-structured schedule of 37.5 hours weekly, beginning ASAP and continuing through late May 2027.
