Teacher Assistant

Job Description

Tuskegee-Macon County Head Start/Early Head Start is seeking a Teacher Assistant to work at one of our 4 centers located in Tuskegee and Macon County. Are you ready to prepare our students for success?
ROLE SUMMARY
: This position is responsible for assisting the teacher in employing curricula that is developmentally appropriate and meets the needs of preschool children, ages 3-5, from diverse backgrounds.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must have a minimum of a high school diploma, GED or equivalent and a Child Development Accreditation (CDA) with (1) year experience in multi-family child care Must meet criteria for background screening as required for child care licensing and federal regulations.
PREFERRED AA
degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development with experience in teaching preschool children •
