What they do
A Teacher Assistant assists classroom teachers by providing extra individual attention and instruction to students. Helps teachers with recordkeeping, preparation for lessons and activities and supervising students. May work with special education students, or work in a school library or computer lab; may be called teacher aide or paraprofessional.

Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children in your care
- Supervise children during playtime, meals, and naptime
- Monitor children's behavior and address any disciplinary issues using positive reinforcement techniques
- Communicate with parents or guardians regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise
- Maintain a clean and organized childcare area
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with children, such as nannying, daycare, or preschool experience is good, but
NOT REQUIRED
- Familiarity with first aid procedures and infant care, must be CPR certified within 30 days of hire
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to create a positive and engaging learning environment for children
- Classroom management skills are a plus
