Job Description

We are looking for a Teacher Assistant to work in our Early Intervention Day Treatment (EIDT) settings at our Decatur location. The individual would work with children to provide a nurturing environment for early developmental learning and pre-K skills. This position is the best fit for someone with a heart for children with needs in the areas of Developmental Education, Speech, Physical, Occupational therapies, ABA or Nursing. Responsibilities Present care and lessons in a comprehensive manner and use to facilitate learning Provide individualized instruction to each student by promoting interactive learning Record students' progress and provide feedback Maintain an orderly and clean classroom Collaborate with other teachers, parents and therapists and participate in scheduled meetings Plan and execute educational in-class and outdoor activities and events Provide ADLs and care for children. Skills Willingness to learn/exhibit teaching best practices and educational guidelines partnered with a willingness to follow the school's policies and procedures Excellent communicability and interpersonal skills Well-organized and committed Creative and energetic We are an equal opportunity employer. Qualifications High School Graduate Strong communication skills and ability to engage with students effectively Experience working with diverse learning needs, including early intervention techniques is a plus but not required. Safety sensitive position passed drug tests are a requirement. Passed background checks are a requirement.
