Job Description

POSITION TITLE

Kindergarten Classroom Aide

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma

At least one (1) of the following:

Two (2) years of college credit;

An associate's degree (or higher);

Provide evidence of passing the Arkansas State Board of Education adopted Praxis Paraprofessional Assessment

Child Development Associate Credential (CDA)

Highly motivated with strong organizational skills; able to coordinate multiple tasks at one time.

Self-starter; able to work independently.

REPORTS TO

Principal

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

185 days with benefits provided according to Siloam Springs School Board policies.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Assisting students in achieving social- emotional and academic success.

Provide academic and behavioral support.

Monitor student progress and maintain documentation.

Collaborate with classroom teachers and other staff.

Supervise students.

Maintain positive communication with students and families.

Support classroom instruction.

Support and promote the district's mission, vision and values.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

Abide by state statutes, school board policies and regulations.

Attend meetings and perform duties as assigned by administrators or supervisors.

Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.

Maintain accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy and administrative regulation.

Perform other duties as assigned.
