Teacher Aide / Education Intern, Part-Time Catalina, AZ $20/Hr. In-Person, M-F, 8:00 AM - 1:30 PM Job Description Lopez Academy is looking for someone smart, fun, hardworking, and a little rebellious toward status quo schooling—someone who loves kids and wants to help build something different. We're an award-winning Christian microschool serving a small, mixed-age community of kids in a modern one-room schoolhouse. Our goal is simple but ambitious: prepare students for college and workforce readiness by age 16, while developing biblical wisdom and skills they'll need for today's smart world. As a Teacher Aide / Education Intern, you'll work alongside Mr. Lopez and Ms. Lily, gaining hands-on experience with our Contemporary Christian Education model. You'll help: Work one-on-one with students on targeted skills in reading and math. Follow lesson plans and activities provided by our classroom teachers. Provide feedback and assessments on student progression. Coach students toward confidence, independence, and strong work habits. Encourage a positive, calm, Christ-centered classroom culture. Participate in the everyday life of a small, mixed-age microschool. Qualifications Love working with children and love Jesus. Strong Christian faith and value Christian education. Dependable, teachable, energetic, and hardworking. Enjoy learning and aren't af raid to try unconventional approaches. Can work one-on-one with kids who learn differently or need extra support. Previous teaching or classroom experience is a plus, but experience, credentials, or degrees are NOT the most important thing to us.
