Little Miracles is a faith-based Christian school , and our Christian faith is an important part of who we are and the environment we provide for our children and families. We require our teachers to be practicing Christians who are comfortable incorporating Christian values into their daily interactions with children and representing those values through their character, conduct, and care for others. The Infant Assistant Teacher works closely with the Infant Lead Teacher to provide exceptional care in a safe, calm, clean, and nurturing environment. Because infants require individualized attention throughout the day, this position requires someone who is patient, highly attentive, organized, and comfortable managing multiple feeding, sleeping, diapering, and developmental schedules. Our goal is to provide families with peace of mind knowing their baby is receiving loving, responsive, and attentive care throughout the day. Primary Role - Infant Classroom Responsibilities Provide loving, attentive, and responsive care to infants throughout the entire day Work alongside the Infant Lead Teacher to maintain a calm, nurturing, safe, and organized classroom Follow each infant's individual feeding, bottle, nap, diapering, and care schedule Prepare and provide bottles and meals according to each child's individual schedule and parent instructions Accurately document bottles, meals, diaper changes, naps, activities, and other required information in Brightwheel Provide parents with regular updates, photos, and important information through Brightwheel Change diapers regularly and immediately address wet or soiled diapers as needed Maintain proper diapering, handwashing, sanitation, and hygiene procedures at all times Follow all safe sleep procedures and regularly monitor sleeping infants Provide tummy time and other age-appropriate developmental activities Engage infants through talking, reading, singing, music, movement, sensory activities, and interactive play Comfort crying or distressed infants and respond appropriately to their individual needs Support infants as they reach developmental milestones such as rolling, sitting, crawling, standing, early language development, and social interaction Participate in age-appropriate Christian activities and help create a classroom environment that reflects our faith-based values Model kindness, patience, compassion, respect, and other Christian values in interactions with children, families, and coworkers Learn each infant's individual personality, routine, cues, preferences, and needs Help maintain consistency between home and school routines whenever reasonably possible Active Supervision & Safety Infants require constant and intentional supervision. Assistant Teachers are expected to remain actively engaged with the children and aware of what is happening throughout the classroom at all times. Responsibilities Maintain direct and active supervision of infants at all times Maintain awareness of every infant's location and needs Perform regular child counts and ensure required ratios are maintained Closely monitor infants during floor play, tummy time, feeding, transitions, and sleep Never leave an infant unattended on a changing table or other elevated surface Keep floors and play areas clear of choking hazards and other potential safety concerns Follow all safe sleep, bottle-feeding, food safety, diapering, and sanitation procedures Immediately report injuries, unusual behavior, illness symptoms, feeding concerns, or other health and safety concerns to the Lead Teacher and management Follow all Little Miracles policies and Arizona childcare licensing requirements Faith & Christian Values Little Miracles Daycare & Preschool is a Christian, faith-based school . Teachers are expected to:
Be a practicing Christian Be comfortable openly working in and supporting a Christian educational environment Model Christian values through kindness, patience, integrity, compassion, forgiveness, and respect Participate in and support age-appropriate faith-based classroom activities Help reinforce the Christian mission and values of Little Miracles Conduct themselves professionally and in a manner consistent with the values and standards of our school Qualifications Previous experience caring for infants is strongly preferred Experience in a licensed childcare or preschool setting is preferred Warm, patient, nurturing, and dependable personality Comfortable feeding, diapering, holding, soothing, and caring for infants throughout the day Strong attention to detail and ability to follow individualized schedules Ability to multitask while maintaining constant awareness of children's safety Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to follow instructions, policies, and classroom procedures consistently Dependable attendance and punctuality Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced infant classroom Passion for caring for babies and supporting families Ability to meet all applicable Arizona childcare licensing and employment requirements What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who genuinely loves working with babies, loves the Lord, and wants to be part of a Christian childcare environment. The right person will be patient, gentle, attentive, dependable, and proactive. We need someone who notices when a baby needs something without always having to be told, takes initiative to help their Lead Teacher, keeps the classroom exceptionally clean and organized, and understands that every infant has their own individual routine and needs. Most importantly, we want someone who will treat every baby with patience, gentleness, attention, and genuine love while demonstrating the Christian character, professional standards, and commitment to safety that we expect from every member of the Little Miracles team.
Pay:
$17.00 - $19.00 per hour Expected hours: 32.0 - 40.0 per week

Paid time off Application Question(s): Do you currently hold a valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card? Do you currently have CPR/First Aid certification for infants and children? This position requires flexible full-time availability between 7:00 AM and 4:00 PM Monday-Friday. Are you able to commit to this schedule?
