Qualifications and Desired Experience:

Previous experience as a paraprofessional in a school environment preferred Understanding of classroom management and support techniques Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers and staff Patience, adaptability, and a genuine passion for assisting students Strong communication skills, both written and verbal High school diploma or equivalent required Ability to pass background screening and required school district clearances

Key Responsibilities:

Work alongside certified teachers to provide instructional support to individual students or small groups Assist with classroom management and help maintain a positive learning atmosphere Support students with special needs in accordance with individualized education plans (IEPs) Foster engagement by encouraging participation and tracking student progress Assist with the preparation and organization of classroom materials and activities Supervise students during non-classroom times, such as lunch or recess, to ensure safety and support Communicate regularly with the educational team regarding student needs and achievements
