Part-Time, Grant-Funded (School-Year Position)Pay:
$20.00 per hourWork Schedule:
Monday-Thursday:
3:00 p.m.- 5:30 p.m.
Friday:
7:45 a.m.- 1:30 p.m.
- Approximately 16.
- Supervise and actively engage students during the after-school and Friday 21st CCLC program.
- Provide academic support in reading, writing, mathematics, homework completion, and other instructional activities.
- Assist certified teachers and program staff with tutoring, intervention, and small-group instruction.
- Support enrichment activities such as STEM, arts, physical fitness, career exploration, leadership development, and other hands-on learning experiences.
- Build positive relationships with students while encouraging responsibility, respect, and appropriate behavior.
- Maintain a safe, structured, and welcoming environment for all participants.
- Supervise students during transitions, snack time, outdoor activities, and dismissal.
- Assist with student attendance, daily sign-in/sign-out procedures, and required program documentation.
- Prepare instructional materials and organize classrooms and activity spaces.
- Communicate professionally with students, families, and staff.
- Maintain confidentiality of student information.
- Follow all school policies, grant requirements, and student safety procedures.
- Participate in required staff meetings and professional development.
- Perform other related duties as assigned in support of the 21st CCLC program. Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience working with children in a school, childcare, recreation, youth program, or similar setting preferred.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students and work collaboratively with staff.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Reliable attendance and dependability.
- Positive attitude, patience, flexibility, and enthusiasm for working with children.
- Ability to maintain a safe and orderly learning environment.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card. Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree or college coursework in education or a related field.
- Previous experience as a paraprofessional, instructional aide, tutor, substitute teacher, childcare provider, or youth program leader.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain). Physical Requirements
- Frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, and move throughout classrooms and outdoor activity areas, using stairs and walking up and down hills, and safely using crosswalks with children
- Lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
- Supervise students indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
