Overview Join our vibrant educational community as a Paraprofessional supporting Fourth and Fifth-grade students! In this dynamic role, you will work closely with classroom teachers to foster an engaging, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help students develop essential skills in literacy, math, and social-emotional growth, ensuring they thrive academically and personally. Duties Assist classroom teachers with lesson planning and implementing instructional activities aligned with curriculum standards. Support students' literacy and math development through one-on-one or small group instruction tailored to individual needs. Manage classroom behavior by applying effective behavior management strategies to promote a positive learning atmosphere. Provide additional educational support to students with disabilities or special needs, including those with autism or other developmental challenges. Help maintain an organized classroom environment by preparing materials, supervising activities, and ensuring safety protocols are followed. Collaborate regularly with teachers to monitor student progress, adapt instructional approaches, and support curriculum development. Engage in ongoing communication with parents and guardians to share student achievements and address concerns related to classroom activities. Qualifications Prior experience working with children in educational settings such as daycare, preschool, private schools, or similar environments. Knowledge of early childhood education principles, including childhood development and behavior management techniques. Familiarity with special education practices, lesson planning, and curriculum development for elementary students. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with teachers, students, and families. Technical proficiency in educational tools and classroom management software is preferred. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to support teaching staff in classroom management assistance and instructional delivery across subjects such as literacy, math, and social-emotional learning.
