As a Paraprofessional, you will play an important role in helping students achieve academic success by providing instructional support, building positive relationships, and contributing to a safe and inclusive learning environment. Position Overview The Paraprofessional supports teachers and students by providing instructional assistance, reinforcing classroom learning, and helping maintain a positive educational environment. This position works with individual students and small groups while supporting the overall success of the classroom. Key Responsibilities Assist students individually and in small groups with academic activities and learning objectives. Support classroom instruction and reinforce concepts introduced by the teacher. Monitor students in classrooms, playgrounds, cafeterias, field trips, and other school settings. Assist with classroom organization, instructional materials, and record keeping. Promote positive student behavior and a safe learning environment. Collaborate with teachers and staff to support student success. Observe and communicate student progress, concerns, and achievements. Participate in training, meetings, and professional development opportunities. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. 60 college credit hours or passing score on the Paraprofessional Praxis Exam. Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card required. MMR documentation required. Experience working with children in educational, childcare, recreational, or age-related settings preferred. Why Union ESD?
