Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Looking for a flexible, school-based opportunity to support students as an Instructional Aide Substitute? This per diem role is perfect for caring, adaptable professionals eager to make an impact by working directly with students on a 1:1 basis. With each assignment, you'll provide much-needed support to help students succeed academically, behaviorally, and socially within a welcoming educational environment.
Responsibilities in this role include:
Assisting students in the classroom with academic and behavioral tasks Offering 1:1 or small group support as outlined by teachers and support staff Helping students navigate daily routines, transitions, and classroom activities Following behavior intervention plans and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) as required Ensuring student safety, supervision, and addressing mobility or basic care needs Creating a respectful and inclusive classroom experience for all students Essential requirements: High school diploma or GED 18 years of age or older TB test (as stipulated by district guidelines) Physical ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting if necessary Willingness to secure or update all necessary background clearances ahead of start Preferred experience: Work history in a school, special education, behavioral health, or childcare setting Experience supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral concerns Familiarity with CPI, PMT, or RBT practices (beneficial but not required) Patience, strong reliability, and a collaborative approach This position offers weekly pay, flexible assignments you choose according to your schedule, real-time support through a responsive chat feature, and excellent pathways for professional growth within the school setting.
