Duties/Responsibilities/Functions/Tasks ? Work with assigned student or students; ? Ability to approach students with an attitude of understanding, patience, and calm; ? Provide accommodations and supports as written on the IEP; ? Collect data on a daily basis to gather information used by IEP team to develop annual IEP goals and objectives; ? Maintain appropriate documentation, records, and reports; ? Consult and collaborate with Sped Team about student progress; ? Participate in trainings for SpecEd and GenEd topics as scheduled ? Performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifications ? The equivalent of graduation from high school (Verification will be required for high school graduation, college units, and degrees.) ? Pass a Department of Justice background check (Livescan) ? Pass a TB (tuberculosis) screening/testing Special Position Requirements ? Must have a strong desire to work with children, especially those with special needs; ? Demonstrates a high level of professionalism; ? Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form; ?
