Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Experience working with school-aged children or in a classroom environment is preferred High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in child development, special education, or related fields are a plus Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills Ability to follow classroom routines and collaborate effectively with teachers and staff Flexibility and adaptability to respond to various student needs and situations A compassionate, patient, and encouraging approach with children of diverse backgrounds and abilities

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct support to students individually and in small groups under teacher guidance Assist with implementing lesson plans and supporting classroom activities Foster an inclusive and positive learning environment for all students Monitor student progress and behavior, reporting observations to the teaching team Support students with special needs per individualized education plans (IEPs) as appropriate Help with classroom organization, preparation of learning materials, and supervision during non-instructional times such as recess or lunch
