Job Description
- School Aide - Special Education Support
- The
- School Aide
- supports students who require instructional, behavioral, personal-care, or mobility assistance. Under the direction of the special education department, teacher, or supervising designee, the School Aide helps students access their educational program and may assist with therapeutic or physical-care needs as directed by licensed professionals.
- ?? Responsibilities
- + Provide instructional and behavioral support under teacher/special education supervision + Assist students with personal care, mobility, and
- daily living skills
- + Support therapeutic activities as directed by SLP, OT, PT, or other health professionals + Maintain confidentiality and follow all professional standards + Support students across school environments (classroom, playground, cafeteria, etc.)
- ?? Minimum Requirements
- + High School diploma or equivalent + Compliance with all professional standards of practice +
- Current CPR
- (if applicable) +
- TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray
- (if applicable) +
- Current health certificate
- (per contract/state regulation) + Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements + Must be
- 18 years of age or older
