Our preschool - 8th grade school has been in existence for 65 years and our mission is to partner with parents to educate the whole child spiritually, academically, emotionally and physically in a Christ-centered environment. Job Summary Christ Lutheran Church and School is looking for an active team member to help with our day school and after school programming in the role of School Age Care program aide. This person works within a team environment with the goal of creating a positive social climate for all of our students. This person makes quick decisions based on sound development knowledge and continues to learn best practices in the field of child development and behavior management. This position seeks to understand and meet the daily expectations of families, students and school staff. They are responsible for supervision, engaging with students, helping assist with summer and holiday care and communicating with our School Age Care Supervisor, families, teachers, and school principal (when needed).
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
Resume Letter(s) of Recommendation TB Test upon hire Reporting hours--from 2:30 pm - 6:00 pm during regular school days. Reporting days are 3 to 5 days a week, depending on availability. Non school day hours vary depending on schedule and availability.DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain and nurture the culture described in the position overview. Establish school wide open communication. Consult and communicate with all stakeholders when behavior situations arise. Communicate and plan with the administrative team on a regular basis, keeping them informed of all activity within the school relating to general business, children, faculty and parents. Maintain accurate records of daily attendance and enrollment. Meet with the SAC Supervisor to coordinate staffing, enrollment changes and activities planning. Ensure a clean, tidy and organized appearance throughout the day. Onsite during the school day Monday through Friday. Keep accurate records for billing and accounting purposes. Participate in required training programs, conferences, courses or other aspects of professional growth.Job Type:
