Job Description

Step into an essential role supporting students success as a paraprofessional in a dynamic California school environment. This contract position, located near Daly City, provides the opportunity to make a significant difference while engaging with diverse learners in a supportive and collaborative community. Paraprofessionals are assigned to a school and serve wherever their skills are most needed; flexibility and a team-player attitude are non-negotiable. The range of responsibilities extends from academic support to personal care tasks, including toileting, diapering, feeding, and potentially health care procedures. Those unable or unwilling to support all assigned duties will not be considered. Principals may discuss your preferences, but all placements are based on campus needs.

Key Qualifications:
S10/S10A

qualification is required; additional S-qualifications (S10E, S10F, S10Q, S10W, S20D, S20V, S22) strongly preferred. Must specifically list these credentialstranscripts or resumes are not sufficient.

Minimum education:

Associates degree OR 48 college units and High School Diploma OR passing CBEST

+ High School Diploma OR passing the Instructional Aide Exam

+ High School Diploma. Additional requirements vary by S-qualification (see detailed job summary) and may include CPR/First Aid certification, annual medication training, and/or specialized skills (sign language, Braille, health care procedures). Must be adaptable, reliable, and willing to perform a range of personal care and educational support duties. Experience with children with significant social-emotional or behavioral needs preferred for certain assignments.

Responsibilities:

Provide academic and personal care support to students as directed. Carry out assigned health care and physical procedures after district-funded training. Collaborate with educators and support staff to foster a positive learning atmosphere. Uphold a professional, respectful, and inclusive demeanor at all times.

Compensation and Work Conditions:
