Job Description
Rising Sun Montessori School is seeking an Assistant Teacher for the 2026-2027 academic year. RSMS is a growing charter school within the Buckeye Union School District located in El Dorado Hills, California. It is a beautiful small suburban community in the Sacramento area, within two hours of San Francisco (to the west) and the beautiful Sierras and Lake Tahoe (to the east). Candidates should be enthusiastic about working at a Montessori charter school. In addition, candidates should have a passion for working with children and families, and a clear understanding and working experience with the Montessori Method. If you have a passion for authentic Montessori, a willingness to learn and grow professionally and a desire to invest and be valued in a growing and vibrant community of parents, educators, students, board members and administrators, we encourage you to apply. Candidates for the assistant position are preferred to possess a degree in a field related to education and are in the process of perusing a teaching credential. Work agreement period is August through May, Monday through Friday, 8:30 am - 3:00 pm, approx. 28 hours/week.
