Adventure Time is a high quality before and after school childcare/enrichment program for children of both working and non-working parents. We provide activities for children in the areas of creative arts and physical education.

Areas of emphasis are:

arts and crafts, sports and games, music, dance, movement, drama, language arts, and recreation. Children range in age from 5-12 years. Adventure Time stresses creative and social development. One of our primary goals is to develop the positive expression of cooperative feelings in a group situation among the children while providing a warm, nurturing, safe environment.

General Responsibilities:

• -Curriculum development (project planning)
• -Teaching arts, crafts, sports, games, music, dance, drama, and other creative arts
• -Supervision of children both indoors and outdoors
• -Maintaining up-to-date attendance records
• -Maintaining a positive attitude towards and relationship with co-teachers, parents, children, and supervisors
• -Maintaining a clean and safe classroom Qualifications for

Teachers:

• A minimum of twelve semester units of educational background in child development, psychology, education, early childhood education, or related areas
• -Experience with young children
• -Nurturing personality
• -Reliable
• -References required
• -Proof of immunizations
• -Mandatory child abuse training
• Must be at least 18 years old
• -Must have a minimum of 6 months teaching experience
