Private Montessori preschool in Granite Bay is currently accepting Teacher's Aide applications for a position that floats between our four Children's House preschool classrooms (ages 3 yrs. - 6 yrs.). Ideal candidates will assist our lead teachers with classroom management, assist students with Montessori jobs, support our lead teachers to ensure a beautiful classroom environment, oversee lunch responsibilities, establish a calm, relaxed afternoon napping environment for our students, and work in a collaborative fashion with other preschool staff members. We are looking for candidates who are reliable, punctual, and committed to our students (and other staff members) and are supportive of our growing Montessori preschool community.

Position Details:

Monday through Friday, 9:00 - 5:30

Applicant Preference:

• Possess a minimum of 12 core ECE units (transcripts required) Applicants who have completed a minimum of 9 units will be considered
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Have a minimum of 1 year of classroom experience working with young children.

Additional skills:

Montessori experience is a plus, however, it is not a requirement. Possess a keen sense of awareness of their environment (multi-tasker, alert to surroundings). Friendly and approachable (with students and parents). Positive, energetic personality enjoys working with children. Patient, understanding, able to follow instructions and adhere to specific schedules. Can meet the physical demands of working with preschool aged children (bending, stooping, floor work, lifting children). Able to manage students in a classroom and playground setting. Strict adherence to school policies and ability to interpret and enforce rules. CPR / first aid certification preferred, or willing to obtain training. Requirements /
